Programming
In 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic meant that all of the in-person pilgrimages to wartime incarceration sites were canceled, JAMP pivoted to online community building. The first Tadaima Virtual Community Pilgrimage was a community-wide effort and ran for 9 weeks. Since Tadaima 2020, JAMP has continued to produce virtual programming—including a virtual Rohwer/Jerome Pilgrimage, annual Tadaima virtual pilgrimages, Day of Remembrance programming, and a number of other community building and educational programs. Virtual programming remains central to JAMP’s work because it facilitates accessible, wide-ranging, and inclusive events.
